BERRY GREEN SMOOTHIE – HEALTHY SMOOTHIE TUESDAY 1


Here is the first smoothie in the new Smoothie Tuesday Series on Steve’s Kitchen. A Berry Green Smoothie and no it’s not green💚 🙃

How to make BERRY GREEN SMOOTHIE
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Serves: 2 Smoothies

Ingredients

  • 1 Ripe Banana
  • 1/2 a cup of Frozen Raspberries
  • 1/2 a cup of Frozen Blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons of Oatmeal
  • I cup of Fresh Spinach
  • 1 tablespoon of Honey
  • 1/2 a cup of Almond Milk

For the Granola around the Glass

  • 1/2 a cup of Oatmeal
  • 1/4 a cup of Shredded Coconut
  • 1 tablespoon of Honey

Instructions

  1. To make the granola to edge the glass, just place the oats, coconut and honey into a small fry pan and toast it gently over a medium heat until golden brown. Remove from the heat and place into the blender. Give a few short pulses until it is as fine as you desire and then store in a plastic container and it is ready to use whenever you make a smoothie.
  2. To edge the glass use a little of the honey on your finger to go around the rim of the glass and then dip into the granola.
  3. For the smoothie, place the banana, blueberries, raspberries, oatmeal, spinach, honey and milk into the blender jug. Set your blender on high for about 1 minute (or as I did on the green smoothie setting). Once it is all nice and smooth pour into a glass, serve. 💚
