Sometimes only Homemade will do 🙂 and Tahini is too simple to buy.
Tahini is great in Hummus or with Falafel and sometimes it can be very expensive to buy. All you need is a blender and you can make your own so simply and cheaply.

How To Make Tahini
Prep Time: 5 Minutes
Ingredients
- 1 Cup of Raw Sesame Seeds
- 1/4 Cup of Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Instructions
- Pour the Sesame seeds into a fry and toast them until they are golden brown. Make sure you stir them to allow all the seeds to brown.
- Place into a blender and add the Olive Oil. Turn on the blender and blend for a minute or two.
You may need to stop and knock down the seeds that have stuck to the sides of the blender.
Continue to blend until you get a nice smooth paste. - Pour into a sterilised jar and store in the fridge.
Your Tahini is ready for use whenever you may need it.
Store the Jars in the fridge and use in the many recipes that call for this wonderful ingredient. Its great in salad dressings too.
