Buffalo Wings Hot and Tasty – Aussie Style


Tasty Chicken Wings -On January the 26th we celebrate Australia Day, so I thought I would share my Hot and Tasty Buffalo wings that Patrick an Aussie friend and viewer asked me to make.

How to make Buffalo Wings
Prep Time: 10 Minutes

Cook Time: 30 Minutes
BBQ Temperature: Medium Heat

Ingredients

  • 10 Chicken Wings
  • 1/2 a cup of All Purpose Flour
  • Salt and Pepper
    For the Sauce
  • 1/2 a cup / 125g of Butter
  • 1/2 a cup / 125g of Chilli Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons of Honey
  • Zest and juice of a Lime

Instructions

  1. Using a sharp knife cut the chicken wings into three pieces at each joint. Discard the tip joint as this has no real meat.Place the flour into a bowl and season with salt and pepper. Pour over the chicken wings and coat them thoroughly with the flour.
  2. Place the butter in a skillet or roasting tin and pour on the chilli sauce.
    Add the lime zest and the juice. Spoon the honey on top.
    Place the flour coated chicken wings onto a BBQ Grill and place the pan or roasting dish on too.    
  3. Cook the wings on one side for 15 minutes and then turn them over and cook the other side until they are cooked all the way through.
    Give the sauce a little stir and then dip the wings in to coat them with the chilli sauce.
    Place the wings back on the grill and leave them for a further 5-10 minutes and they will be ready to serve.
  4. Remove from the grill and serve with a lovely dip. I used a blue cheese dip and it was delicious.
