I first tried Deep Fried Oreos whilst in Mexico City last year. I am not going to lie to you, I actually think the fried Oreo tastes many times better than the real thing, if you don’t believe then try.

Instructions
- Start by placing your Oreo Cookies into the freezer so they are nice and cold ready to be fried.
- Place the Flour, Sugar, Baking Powder and Salt into a bowl.
Add the Milk and Egg and whisk together to form a nice smooth batter. Leave to one side for a few minutes to allow the flour to absorb the liquids. - Heat the oil to 360F / 180C or until the oil is hot enough to allow the batter to bubble when added.
- Remove the cookies from the freezer and gently dip them into the batter. I found I achieved the best results when I just used my fingers to dip the cookies but you can use tongs. Once the cookie is coated in the batter gently drop into the hot oil.
Allow to cook until brown on the underside and then flip them over to cook the other side. Remove from the oil once golden brown and allow to drain on kitchen paper.
Serve with Vanilla ice cream and they are just heavenly.
