Continuing with the Basic Pound Cake Series, today I am making a deliciously moist Lemon Drizzle Cake. It makes a perfect tray bake and is oh so lemony!!!

You will Need
For the Batter
150g / 5oz of Butter
150g / 5oz of Sugar
150g / 5oz of Self Raising Flour
150g / 5oz of Eggs Approx 3
1 teaspoon of Baking Powder
Zest and juice of 1 Lemon
For the Drizzle Syrup
3/4 of a cup of Sugar
3/4 of a cup of Water
Juice of a Large Lemon
For the Icing
150g / 5oz of Powdered / Icing Sugar
5 teaspoons of Water
Zest of a Lemon
Cooking Temperatures 170C /325F for 25 Minutes
