This is the closest recipe you’ll get to home made Mc Fries but to be honest it’s a lot of work.
You would need to be a real fan to make them but if you do they sure do taste good.
Make a big batch and you can keep them in the freezer ready for when you next want some fries đ

Instructions
- Cut the potatoes into French fries either by hand, using a food processor or a mandolin. Any of these methods work well for this recipe.
Place the cut fries into a big bowl of water to wash off the starch. - Pour 2 litres of water into a large saucepan. Add the salt and vinegar.
Place the washed cut potatoes into the saucepan. Place the saucepan onto the heat and bring to the boil.
Simmer for 5 minutes. - After 5 minutes, drain immediately into a colander. Take a baking tray and cover with a clean Tea Towel. Pour the drained potatoes onto the towel.
- Heat your oil to 190C / 370F in a deep fat fryer or deep saucepan. Once the oil is up to temperature drop the fries into the oil for no more than 60 seconds.
Remove from the oil and drain on paper towel.
Cook the fries in batches so you don’t overload the fryer. - Allow the fries to cool completely.
Place into a big Ziplock bag or container and place in the freezer to completely freeze. You can either leave the fries in the freezer until you need them or once they are frozen remove the amount that you require. - Heat your oil once again to 190C / 370F. When the oil is hot drop the fries in to cook for a little less than 3 minutes.
Once cooked remove from the oil and drain on paper towel.
Your fries are ready to eat now. Just season and serve.
