Instructions

To make Slime, Flubber or Goo

  1. Pour 1 cup of water into a small bowl. Stir the cup of PVA Glue into the water and mix thoroughly. Add a few drops of food colouring of your choice.
  2. Then pour another cup of water into a different bowl. Add the borax to this bowl and stir into the water.
  3. Now take the bowl with the PVA and water in and slowly pour into the Borax and water bowl, stirring all the time. The slime will start to ‘clump’ together. Once you have added all the PVA and water, stir until you have one ‘clump’ in your bowl.
  4. Then remove from the bowl, draining as much liquid as you can and place onto the work counter. Knead the slime until it becomes smooth and not crumbly. Your Slime is now ready to be played with.
  5. You can store this in a zip lock bag and it keeps for ages. Have fun.

To make Silly Putty

  1. Again you need two bowls and into one place 1 tablespoon of water and Borax. Mix together.
  2. In the other bowl add the cornflour, PVA and food colouring. Stir together.
  3. Using a teaspoon gradually add some of the borax and water mixture to the cornflour mixture. Stirring and mixing together after you add each spoonful. Once the mixture forms a ball that you can handle remove from the bowl. Knead the ball in your fingers, dipping it into the Borax mixture, until it feels like putty and no longer sticks to your fingers.
  4. Now you have a ball of putty to play with and ‘bounce’ all over the place. Enjoy.
