So I thought I should give it a go and see if it would work.

Well as you can see below it does work and it look great. It is super easy to make and tastes delicious.

Instructions

  1. Lay the sheets of puff pastry on your counter top. Use a dinner plate to cut a circle from each piece of the pastry.
Sprinkle a piece of baking paper with a little flour.
  2. Place the first circle of pastry onto the paper. Spread Nutella over the circle leaving 1/2inch / 1.25cm clear around the edge.
Lay the second sheet of pastry on top of the Nutella. Cover with Nutella as before.
  3. Repeat with the third sheet of pastry. Top with the final layer of pastry.
  4. I would suggest you watch the video from 1:58 to see how the next process should be done. Take a small drinking glass and place that in the centre of the pastry as a guide.
Use a sharp knife and cut through the pastry from the edge of the glass to the edge of the pastry at 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock, 9 o’clock, and 12 o’clock. (So from the centre of the pastry out to the edge).
Then divide each quarter in half and then in half again so you have 16 cut sections in total.
Now take hold of one piece of the pastry and twist it twice around in the same direction and then lay it down on the paper. Then take the piece next to it and twist it twice around in the opposite direction and lay it down.
You can take two pieces at the same time and twist them in opposite directions to each other.
To finish each petal off lift the ends of the twisted pastry and pinch them together tightly.
  5. Work around the pastry until all 16 pieces have been twisted and you have 8 twisted and pinched petals. Remove the glass and slide the pastry onto a baking tray.
Use a pastry brush to brush over with some egg white.
  6. Place in the pre heated oven for 30 minutes until golden brown. When cooked remove from the oven and allow to cool a little.
Then brush over with some sugar water to give it a lovely shine.
Yummy Yummy your easy Nutella Star Bread is ready to …….Share.
